Compass/Ross Cares
Philanthropy is the intention of wanting to help, of wanting to collaborate, so that the world is a better place. The contribution of Ross has generated changes for people through different organizations that he helps. All of us can practice philanthropy, we just have to find a cause in which to project our objective. Some organizations that Ross keeps close to his heart are:
- Wounded Warriors: WW was founded in Roanoke, Virginia by a group of veterans and friends who took action to help the injured service men and women of this generation. Since 2003, Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) has been meeting the growing needs of warriors, their families, and caregivers - helping them achieve their highest ambition. - Tunnel to Towers: Since 9/11, Tunnel to Towers have been helping America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building custom-designed smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. We are also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and aiding the victims of major U.S. disasters. Visit https://t2t.org/ and learn more
- Shriners Hospital: Shriners Children’s is committed to reaching as many children as possible, wherever they may live, and offering them unique, patient-centered, wrap-around care. To know how to help visit https://www.shrinerschildrens.org/
- Susan G Kolman: In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen® organization and the beginning of a global movement. What was started with $200 and a shoebox full of potential donor names has now grown into the world’s largest nonprofit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer.
